What does counselling or therapy involve?

We meet face to face for 50 minutes at the same time each week to explore the issues you want to talk about. There is no set duration - some people feel ready to stop coming after a few months and others continue for much longer. We can talk about how long you might wish to come for at our initial meeting and we can keep it under review. If you are in a crisis or you wish to go deeper into the work, you may decide to come more than once a week.

How do we get started?

If you would like to discuss starting therapy, please contact me by telephone or email and I will respond promptly and in confidence. We can then arrange to meet for an initial session to talk about what is troubling you and see whether we think that therapy will help. There will be plenty of time for us to discuss any questions or concerns you may have. If you decide to go ahead, we will agree a regular time to meet each week.
